Musement in Naples: tickets and tours review
Musement started in Milan as a platform for tickets and guided tours and now belongs to the TUI travel group, trading as TUI Musement. In Naples it lists 171 experiences, weighted towards Pompeii, Vesuvius and Herculaneum. This Musement Naples review covers what it sells, how cancellation works and why recent reviews are thin on the ground.

Who Musement is, now TUI Musement
Musement S.p.A. is based in Milan and was founded in 2013. In 2018 it was bought by the TUI group and now trades as TUI Musement; both domains, musement.com and tuimusement.com, still work. Its footer shows an Italian VAT number and its licence number as an online travel agency.
Like GetYourGuide and Viator, Musement does not run museums or operate the tours itself: it sells tickets and experiences from local suppliers and takes payment. Being an Italian company does not make it an official channel.
Musement in Naples: what you will find
The Naples page lists 171 experiences. The split by attraction shows where Musement is strongest:
- Pompeii ruins: 86 experiences, rated 4.6 out of 5 from 6,721 reviews;
- Vesuvius: 35; Herculaneum: 24;
- Naples Underground: 7, rated 4.7 out of 5 from 866 reviews;
- Royal Palace of Caserta: 7;
- Sansevero Chapel: 6, rated 4.9 out of 5 from 126 reviews;
- Catacombs: 4; Capodimonte: 3.
There is also an entry ticket for MANN. The catalogue leans heavily towards out-of-town excursions, with limited choice for sights in the city centre. Always compare prices with the official ticket office: MANN costs €20 with no booking fee, Pompeii €25 (or €20 for the ancient city only).
Cancellation and costs
Musement has no single rule. Many activities allow free cancellation up to 24 hours ahead, but the terms, as far as we could read them, warn that you may be charged under the supplier’s cancellation and no-show policy. In practice, the cancellation line on the individual product is what counts.
Reviewers do not mention booking fees, but Musement does not state this explicitly, so check the total on the last checkout step before you pay.
What reviewers say
The picture is weaker than for the other big platforms. On Trustpilot the musement.com profile scores 4.0 out of 5 from 32,312 reviews, but only 362 arrived in the last twelve months. The tuimusement.com profile scores 3.6 out of 5 from 433 reviews, 35% of them one-star. The new TUI Musement app rates 4.43 on the Italian App Store, but from just 7 ratings.
Users like how easy it is to use and the reasonable prices. Complaints cover checkout glitches, wrong dates or times being selected, tours where the supplier never showed up, and slow refunds.
Pros and cons
- Pros: an Italian company with a travel agency licence, good choice for Pompeii, Vesuvius and Herculaneum, high ratings on Sansevero and Naples Underground experiences, prices reviewers call reasonable.
- Cons: a brand in transition with few recent reviews, a low score on the TUI Musement profile, reports of checkout problems, cancellation tied to supplier rules, limited choice for city-centre sights.
Our verdict on Musement in Naples
Musement in Naples is worth a look mainly for excursions to Pompeii, Vesuvius and Herculaneum, where its catalogue is broad. It is not our first choice: recent reviews are scarce and those for the new TUI Musement brand are weak. Before paying, compare the same product with Tiqets, GetYourGuide and Headout, and for museums start from our Naples tickets guide.
We are an independent guide: if you book through the Tiqets or GetYourGuide links on this page we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. We have no arrangement with Musement.

FAQ
Are Musement and TUI Musement the same?
Yes. Musement was bought by the TUI group in 2018 and now trades as TUI Musement. Both musement.com and tuimusement.com still work, and the current app is called “TUI Musement: Tours & Tickets”.
Is Musement an official Naples museum site?
No. It is a licensed Italian online travel agency, with the licence number in its footer, but it is not any museum’s own channel. For MANN the official channel is the museum’s online ticket office; for Pompeii the Park points only to Vivaticket.
Can I cancel for free?
Many activities can be cancelled free up to 24 hours ahead, but the rule changes from product to product. The terms also refer to the supplier’s cancellation and no-show policy, so read the individual product page before you pay.
Why are there so few recent reviews?
On Trustpilot the musement.com profile has more than 32,000 reviews but only 362 in the last twelve months: the brand is being replaced by TUI Musement, which has a separate profile with just 433 reviews. To judge a tour, look at the reviews on its own page.
Does Musement sell Sansevero Chapel tickets?
It has six Chapel-related experiences, rated 4.9 out of 5 from 126 reviews. Remember that the Chapel requires a booking and sells non-refundable €15 tickets online, so a reseller product is worth it only if it adds a guide or flexible cancellation.
