Four undergrounds, four stories
Naples Underground is the Greco-Roman network and wartime shelter under Piazza San Gaetano (~1.5 h, ~40 m). Galleria Borbonica is Ferdinand II’s escape tunnel near Plebiscito, with partial wheelchair access. Neapolis Sotterrata under San Lorenzo Maggiore shows the Greco-Roman market excavated beneath the basilica. Spanish Quarters Underground is a narrative walk through the Quarters — not a Sotterranea clone.
Decide in three questions
Want queues and skip-the-line? Sotterranea. Want relative accessibility and the Royal Palace area? Bourbon Tunnel. Want archaeology under a church without the circus of queues? San Lorenzo. Want neighbourhood atmosphere and strong GYG reviews? Spanish Quarters.
Catacombs: a separate branch
San Gennaro and San Gaudioso (La Paranza) are funerary underground in Capodimonte/Sanità — excellent, but they do not replace the four centre options. They have their own page.
Book without mixing names
Open the venue page for the visit you chose: widgets and /go/ links point to the right partner. Do not buy a generic “underground” hoping it is Sotterranea — commercial titles rhyme; the places do not.

Can I do Sotterranea and the Bourbon Tunnel the same day?
Yes — with two slots and transfer time. They are not next door. Avoid stacking two tight underground visits if you dislike confined spaces or travel with small children.
