The photographs on tickets.na.it are not ours: we chose them on Wikimedia Commons, the free media library linked to Wikipedia, where photographers from all over the world share their work under licences that allow reuse. At the bottom of this page you will find the full list, photo by photo, with the original file, the author’s name and the licence, generated directly from the site’s data.

Why we use Wikimedia Commons

Wikimedia Commons holds millions of images uploaded by volunteers, photographers and institutions, each with a page stating its author, date and licence. For a site about Naples it is an invaluable source: there are photos of almost every church, museum and corner of the city, and the terms of use are clear and open for anyone to check.

Creative Commons licences in brief

  • CC BY: you may reuse and adapt the photo, including commercially, as long as you credit the author and the licence.
  • CC BY-SA: as CC BY, but if you adapt the image you must share the result under the same licence.
  • CC0 and public domain: no attribution required, though we still name the author when known.

The number after the licence name (2.0, 3.0, 4.0) is its version: the one shown on the file page is the one that applies.

How we handle the images

We download the photos from Commons, publish them resized for the web and, in some previews, crop them to fit the page layout. We do not alter what they show. The captions under our galleries are our own and describe the subject; the full attribution is in the table below.

Corrections and removal requests

If a name is misspelled, an author is missing or you would prefer a different credit, email hi@tickets.na.it with the file name. The same address works for removal requests: we reply and act as quickly as we can. For anything else, see the contact page.

The full list of photos

The table below lists every photo used on tickets.na.it: a thumbnail, the file title linking to its page on Wikimedia Commons, the author and the licence. The list updates itself whenever we add or replace an image.

FAQ

Can I reuse a photo I see on tickets.na.it?

Yes, on the terms of its licence, which do not depend on us. Open the file on Wikimedia Commons from the link in the table: there you will find the full-resolution image, the author and the correct way to credit them.

I took one of these photos and the credit is wrong. What should I do?

Email hi@tickets.na.it with the Commons file and how you would like to be credited. We correct the attribution as soon as we have checked it against the file page.

I want one of my photos removed from the site.

Email us with the file and the reason. If the photo is yours or shows you, or if its licence on Commons has changed or been challenged, we take it down without argument and replace it with another image.

Do you use AI-generated images?

No. Every photo on the site is a real photograph taken from Wikimedia Commons and listed in the table on this page.

Are the logos of Tiqets, GetYourGuide or museums covered by these licences?

No. The logos and trademarks of partners, museums and operators belong to their owners and are not part of the photos’ Creative Commons licences.
