Who Trentaremi are

Trentaremi Srl is based in the old town at Vico San Domenico Maggiore 9, a short walk from the Sansevero Chapel. It takes its name from the Bay of Trentaremi in Posillipo and says it was started by a group of friends who wanted to show Southern Italy through local fishermen, farmers, winemakers and craftspeople. Alongside experiences, it also sells PR, social-media and video services to local businesses.

What Trentaremi sells in Naples and Campania

The catalogue has around thirty experiences in four groups:

• Sea: the “Wild Posillipo” kayak tour, a trip over the underwater ruins of Baia, and diving and snorkelling off Sorrento.
• Hiking: the Path of the Gods, the Lemon Path, the Vesuvius crater, Punta Campanella, the Valle delle Ferriere, Monte Nuovo, the Sirenuse Path and more.
• Culture: Pompeii, the MANN, the Rione Sanità, the Villa of Poppaea, Capodimonte, the Petraio steps, a Neapolitan coffee tour and one devoted to octopus broth.
• Taste: cooking classes in Tramonti, on a Vesuvius farm and with local hosts, plus black-truffle hunting in Irpinia.

Most experience pages say “Require Info”: you send an enquiry and get an offer back. Only a few let you book straight away.

The “Wild Posillipo” kayak tour

This is the experience the agency is named after. You meet at the Baia delle Rocce Verdi, from 10:30 to 12:30. The route passes Marechiaro, with the little window made famous by Salvatore Di Giacomo’s song “Marechiare”, the 1st-century BC Casa degli Spiriti, Gaiola and finally the Bay of Trentaremi, with Punta Cavallo and its yellow-tuff caves.

No price is published. The meeting point, times and route match those of Kayak Napoli, which sells the same trip for €30: it’s very likely the same provider, but Trentaremi doesn’t say so, so ask. One historical note: the Roman villa on this coast, Pausilypon, belonged to Publius Vedius Pollio, who left it to Augustus in his will; it isn’t strictly a “villa of Augustus”. Booking and cancellation

• How to book: nearly always by sending an enquiry through the site; a few experiences have a direct booking button.
• Refunds: in full up to a certain point; 50% kept up to 48 hours before; nothing after that.
• Bad weather and force majeure: refund or new date.
• Exceptions: individual activities may have their own rules, which override the general ones.

The weak spot is the full-refund clause, which says “72 days” before the event: it almost certainly means 72 hours, but to be safe, get it confirmed in writing before you pay.

What reviewers say

Trentaremi has a Tripadvisor page with mostly positive reviews. Customers praise punctuality, well-prepared guides (one guide, Luisa, is mentioned often) and helpful skippers on the boat trips. We don’t quote a score or review count because we couldn’t verify them, and we found no Google or Trustpilot profile with reliable figures.

Pros and cons

• Pros: unusual, local itineraries (Irpinia, the Petraio, the Sanità, the Campi Flegrei), guides from the area, small groups, one contact for very different experiences.
• Cons: prices hardly ever published, an intermediary role that blurs who is responsible for the service, a badly worded cancellation clause, and no authorisation for activities in Gaiola’s Zone A.

Our verdict on Trentaremi, and alternatives

Trentaremi makes sense if you want something off the usual circuit, such as a quiet hike or a countryside cooking class, and don’t mind arranging it by email. For kayaking in Posillipo, though, booking directly with Kayak Napoli gets you a clear price (€30) on the same route. Alternatives worth a look:
