Who sells MANN tickets

MANN is a state museum under the Italian Ministry of Culture. The official website is museoarcheologiconapoli.it, and online sales go through tickets.museoarcheologiconapoli.it, on the CoopCulture platform, which also handles group and school bookings. CoopCulture’s guided visits for individual visitors are listed in Italian; groups can also book in English, French and Spanish.

Beware of the old address mann-napoli.it: it no longer belongs to the museum and redirects to a service that picks up expired domains. If you see it in guidebooks or blogs, ignore it.

Official MANN tickets: prices, reductions and free entry

• Full €20, valid for the collections and temporary exhibitions.
• Reduced €2: EU citizens aged 18 to 25, Swiss and Uruguayan citizens, holders of certain residence permits.
• Special €10: Campania Artecard holders who have used up their free entries.
• Free: under-18s, Italian school teachers, visitors with disabilities; free for everyone on the first Sunday of the month, 25 April, 2 June and 4 November.

Regular visitors can consider the OpenMANN annual card (€25 adults, €5 ages 18–25), with unlimited entry for 365 days. Both the day ticket and OpenMANN also give 25% off at around 35 partner sites, including the Bourbon Tunnel, the Catacombs of Naples, the Treasure of San Gennaro Museum and the Royal Palace of Portici. The audio guide is rented at the ticket office for €5 (€4 with OpenMANN or Artecard).

Booking, opening hours and rules

The museum is open 9:00–19:30, with the ticket office and last entry at 18:30, and is closed on Tuesdays, as well as 1 January and 25 December. When a Tuesday is a public holiday, the museum opens and closes the following Wednesday instead. Online you choose a time slot: go for the first morning slot, because on-the-spot buyers have no guarantee of quick entry.

• Entry is currently through the step-free western gate; Museo metro station (L1) is a few steps away.
• Free lockers are mandatory for backpacks and bulky bags; luggage over 55×40×20 cm is not accepted.
• Photos for personal use are allowed, but no flash, tripods or selfie sticks.
• The Magna Graecia section requires flat shoes and shoe covers provided by staff.

Open rooms and current closures

This is what the booking platforms explain least. From 21 September to 30 November 2026 the mosaic collection, including the Alexander Mosaic, is closed for works. The Farnese sculpture galleries are partly closed until further notice: if you want to see the Farnese Hercules or the Farnese Bull, check with the museum before you go. Prehistory and Magna Graecia open in rotating morning or afternoon shifts and are closed on Thursdays and Sundays. Open every day, on the other hand, are the Egyptian collection, the Secret Cabinet, the frescoes, the Temple of Isis and the scale model of Pompeii. Rooms can close without notice, and there are no refunds.

Tiqets and GetYourGuide compared

Every reseller costs more than the official channel. Entry on Tiqets starts at €24 (4.5 out of 5, 464 reviews): you pay €4 extra for free cancellation until 23:59 the day before and a downloadable city audio guide, but the product page states that the Magna Graecia section is not included. The Tiqets guided tour, from €44 (4.8 out of 5, 99 reviews), is led by an archaeologist from Askos Srl and is the only option that genuinely adds something. On GetYourGuide, entry with an audio app starts at €26 (4.2 out of 5, 1,182 reviews): check the product page for exactly what it covers.

Pros, cons and our verdict

Pros: full price with no booking fee, a guaranteed time slot, generous reductions for young EU visitors and discounts at many sites around the city. Cons: no cancellation or refunds, rooms that close on rotation or without notice, and information scattered across several pages.

Our verdict: for a self-guided visit, buy from the official channel, book a morning slot and check the open-rooms schedule. Use Tiqets only if you need free cancellation or want the guided tour with an archaeologist. If the same trip includes Pompeii or Capodimonte, consider the Campania Artecard.
